The Ravenna News The RAVENNA NEWS  Team staff are the only newspaper in the world that puts northern Buffalo County in Nebraska first in its coverage. The paper was founded in 1886 and is now 121 years old and going stronger than ever. A legal newspaper in the State of Nebraska and the official newspaper for the City of Ravenna, Ravenna Public School and numerous governing divisions. In addition The RAVENNA NEWS  is the weekly legal paper for Buffalo every four years.
   Though our staff is small, we make every effort to cover every event happening in the area.    T. M. (Ted) Gill of Arapahoe and Nancy Jackson of Ravenna are the owners of the The RAVENNA NEWS  with Gill serving as Publisher and Jackson as the Managing Editor. Gill is in his second business career and has been in the newspaper business for over 35 years while Jackson has been with the paper for about 20 years and as Managing Editor for 10 years.
   Over the years the paper has won numerous awards from the Nebraska Press Association, Nebraska Corn Board and other organizations.
   Wanda Keilig, a veteran of nine years on the staff is in charge of layout, ad building, photography and circulation. Erin Nye, Monte Steele, Betty Young and Sherry Thom are additional  members of the staff and have a variety of responsibilities in all phases of the newspaper production.
