Barbara Psota, 75, of Ravenna died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services will be held Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna. Rev. Martin Egging will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Rasmussen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Barbara Psota was born May 27, 1936 in Amherst, NE to George and Mary (Monroe) Vavra. She was educated in Amherst and graduated from Amherst High School.
She married Milan “Mike” Psota on November 5, 1954 in Greeley, Colorado. They made their home on a farm northwest of Ravenna.
Her greatest joy was cooking for her family.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Janet Psota of Lexington, Kent and DeeAnn Psota of Kearney and Kevin and Brandy Psota of Ravenna, daughters and sons-in-law, Karla and Terry Stueben of Boelus and Karen and Greg Gascoigne of Callaway, sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers, James Vavra and Mick Vavra both of Kearney, sisters, Bonnie Wiese of Grand Island and Betty Jorgensen of Kearney and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 2009 and daughter, Kristine K. Schneider on March 5, 2000.
Larry Dean Homan, 73, of Gibbon, died Monday, January 30, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident south of Ravenna.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna. Wake service will be Friday, February 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Martin Egging will officiate.
A memorial has been established and will be designated later.

Rex Lee Margritz, 58, formerly of Ravenna, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Ft. Worth, TX.
He was cremated. Local services will be at a later date in April. A notice will be published at that time.
Rex was born March 22, 1953 in Beatrice to Robert and Arlone (Rasmussen) Margritz. He graduated from Ravenna High School and spent the majority of his life in Phoenix, AZ as a motor cycle mechanic. When his health failed, he spent his later years with his brother, Michael in Texas.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marlea Lynn, and a niece, Jordan.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael and Rick Margritz; and nephews, Scott, Evan and Tyler.
