Keilig 35th at State Golf

Ravenna’s lone qualifier to the 2011 Girls State Golf meet, Sady Keilig finished in 35th place overall. The meet was held October 10 and 11 at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus. The first year senior golfer for Ravenna carded a 104 on the first day of competition, then came back strong on the second and final day with a 96 to complete an overall score of 200.
Ravenna head coach Son-ya Rasmussen said, “Sady had a personal best of 106 at Districts to qualify for State. On the first day of State, she outdid her previous best with a 104. Then on the final day of State, she again exceeded her personal record with a 96. It says a lot about a girl to continue to stride forward one round after another. She wanted to go out strong and she did that. I was very proud to have been her coach. She is a very strong-willed, determined young lady.”.
